About Sabah Branch
Located in the Land Below the Wind, TAR UMT Sabah Branch is the first and only branch to provide tertiary education in East Malaysia. The campus is set within 6 acres of prime land in the Alamesra area which is just a fifteen-minute drive from Kota Kinabalu.
The purpose-built campus can accommodate up to 3000 students and they can enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, and learning spaces. TAR UMT is committed to enabling and supporting students to thrive and succeed by providing a wide range of facilities including two tutorial blocks, an administrative block, and a cafeteria and student center block. Our unique rooftop sports facilities consist of basketball, futsal, and badminton courts, a well-equipped gymnasium, and an infinity-edge swimming pool.
It is headed by the Branch Head and assisted by the Deputy Head who is supported by a team of academic and administrative staff. Currently, there are 7 diploma programmes and 3 bachelor degree programmes offered at Sabah Branch under three (3) main academics departments :
i. Department Of Computing and Information Technology (DCIT)
ii. Department of Accountancy, Finance, and Business (DACB)
iii. Department of Social Science and Humanities (DSSH)

Now, the Sabah Branch purpose-built campus with its ultra-modern and sophisticated learning and recreational facilities comprises four blocks of buildings consisting of two lecture and tutorial blocks, one administrative block, and a cafeteria and student center block. The student block will be well-equipped with unique roof top sports facilities such as a swimming pool, a gymnasium, basketball, futsal, and badminton courts to offer a balanced lifestyle for the students in our quest to provide holistic education. These state-of-art learning facilities will certainly create a conducive and encouraging study environment.
All these reaffirm the holistic and dynamic learning culture of our University which fosters the nurturing of young minds in adapting and building a better tomorrow.
